Rental Options
Books can be rented for a period of time as opposed to being purchased - often the length of the semester. This allows students to pay less for access to the book during the time of their course.
To change or add rental options navigate to spree.
In spree click on the “products” tab on the left hand side and then the “products” subtab inside of this.
Here you can navigate and click on any product that you want to add a rental option to.
Next click the “Variants” option on the right of this page. These variants to the main product include the rental books.
Once inside of “Variants” you can edit any existing variant by clicking the blue pencil Icon to its right, or you can add a new variant by clicking on the green “New Variant” button at the top of the screen.
For changing/adding a rental option, only the following fields are relevant:

| Price | The rental price. |
If you would like to specifically change the expiration date for a user:
Search and select the user.
Click Books on the right-hand side.
Find the book in the list and click Edit.
The Expires At field will be blank if the book is purchased, or have a date if it’s rented. You can put in a date to add/change this date.
